Tom Cruise Surprises Fans with a Thrilling Stunt at the Paris Olympics – and He Did It for Free!

Tom Cruise, known for his death-defying stunts in the “Mission Impossible” series, stunned fans worldwide with an incredible performance at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony. The Hollywood star didn’t just appear—he pulled off a daring sequence of stunts, all without charging a fee!

Cruise’s involvement came as a surprise when Casey Wasserman, chairman of the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, revealed that the actor was eager to take on the challenge of accepting the official Olympic flag from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Olympian Simone Biles. The catch? Cruise insisted on doing all the stunts himself.

In a thrilling live sequence, Cruise jumped from the Stade de France, rode his motorcycle through the streets of Paris, and boarded a plane near the Eiffel Tower. The excitement didn’t end there. In a pre-recorded segment, he appeared skydiving into an area near the iconic Hollywood sign in Los Angeles.

Wasserman shared this behind-the-scenes story during a recent CNBC X Boardroom panel, explaining, “We were producing a 15-minute live TV show and wanted the best person in the world for it, so I hired Tom Cruise. He insisted on doing all the stunts himself. About five minutes into the presentation, he said, ‘I’m in. But I’m only doing it if I get to do everything.’”

The “Top Gun” star not only did everything but also did it for free. “He finished filming ‘Mission Impossible’ at 6 p.m. in London, got on a plane, landed in LA at 4 a.m., and immediately started filming. He did two jumps because he wasn’t satisfied with the first one, then helicoptered to the Hollywood sign for more filming before flying back to London,” Wasserman recounted.

Tom Cruise’s commitment and passion for stunts continue to amaze fans worldwide, and this latest feat at the Paris Olympics proves once again why he’s considered one of the most dedicated stars in Hollywood.
