However, beginning September 1, 2024, the maximum allowed size for individual liquid containers will revert to the standard 100ml for airports utilizing this technology. Airports that already impose the 100ml limit or have not implemented EDSCB equipment will not see any changes.

Finland’s national carrier, Finnair, has also confirmed that passengers flying through Helsinki Airport will need to comply with the 100ml limit. However, the overall allowance for liquids remains unchanged at two liters per passenger. Importantly, transfer passengers at Helsinki Airport will not be affected by this rule change.
